The changes in body after labour

It was the toughest night for me after the labour, share with those mummy to be..

Body temperature drops drastically, not only cold, it was freezing! My teeth were biting and I requested for 3 layers of blankets.

The nurse pressed her palm on my tummy hardly without giving any notice. That was terribly PAINFUL! She said that was to check whether my womb was contracting well. I looked at her with my nearly weeping eyes and groans, hoping she could be gently.. but she did not. Other than that time, the tummy was warm and still can feel the afterpain as it contract down.

A heavy discharge of menstrual blood especially when the nurse press on my tummy , I realized she is helping me to press out the clots (lochia) as I can feel the flowing each time she rubbed on my tummy.

Other than my head and both hands, the whole part of my body could hardly move, that’s why I said it was a tough night as the body and legs remained the same position the whole night, really uncomfortable.

The nurses did their routine check on me during the midnight to help me change the nursery pads. She will press gently on my lower tummy and asked if I feel an urge for urine. Though I can’t feel the urge when she pressed, but I think I need to. Anywhere, I used my little left strength to life up myself for her to put the container. That’s weird, I can’t urine. Is it normal? The nurse told me to relax and she left me alone. Urine is a very natural body act but I can’t do it for that 1st urine after birth. Very very very weird experience. Finally it took me around 10 mins.

The body was tired and battered physically but the mind was clear mentally and emotionally.

Therefore… sleepless.

the day when Ryan arrives

Ryan is 2 mths old by now, but still i would like to recap the day when he arrives..

The expected due date for Ryan to arrive was 26/06/10 and I started my maternity leave 1 week before 26th. I waited for the day at home accompanied by my sis.. however day by day pass and there's no news yet till 26th. Then my gynae suggested for induced delivery.

At first, I would worry how would Ryan calls for his arrival.. tummy contraction? waterbag break? or bleeding? in the end, there's no drama for that circumstances to happen. Indeed, hubby no need to take urgent leave, I calmly took the hot shower, prepared everything well , took the cab and we report to hospital TMC on the day given by gynae. Since there's no "ganjiong spider" scene to happen, everything just came in planned. my mind and heart is just as calm to go through all the procedure.

3.00pm - check in TMC, changed n wait at observation room
3.20pm - induced with 2 tablets, a bit pain when the midwife insert the tablets.
baby heartbeats monitoring
4.30pm - check into the 2-bedded ward which upgraded from booked 4-bedded room
mild menstrual cramp starts
5.30pm - Dinner. finish all in order to have enough strength later
menstrual cramp continues n starts bleeding
8.00pm - went back to observation room for baby heartbeats monitoring

for the rest i can't remember the timing as i need to concentrate with the contractions!

Then finally i see my gynae. I'm still able to cope with the cramp by the time he checks on me. He suddenly burst my waterbag by barely using his finger. oooOOhh.. i felt the warm water just flowing out uncontrollably. I was also given antibiotic as body temperature was high. Gynae pat my knee and said "dun worry, everything is alright, it's 3cm now" before he left. okay.. my cervix is 3cm now and i still need to wait till it's 10cm for labour.

right after that, i was being pump by duno wat liquid for my bowel clearing 通便. I think i sat inside the toilet for 30mins and that's the time when my contractions become more frequent. When I'm back on bed, i was given dripping for the increment of womb contraction. Within that 1 hour, my contractions become sharper and sharper.. oh .. i'm getting unbearable.

I can't take the pain anymore and decided to go for epidural. I read the paper and signed with my shaking hand. oh dear.. the pains are just too PAINFUL.. how long am I going to wait for the epidural? the midwife said.. "mummy.. the doctor is on his way now"

When there's 1 pain that i feel something is pushing out from my bottom, i screamed out and hubby called for midwife. The midwives immediately checked on me, she hold my hand and told me gently.. "Mummy, we can't wait for epidural already, baby is coming out"

WHAT !!

"har.. I'm so scared...."
"Don't worry Mummy, listen to me, you can do it. just breath and blow now"

I was given the laughing gas. I hold the gas mask with my own, I groan.. breath.. blow.. praying myself while my bed was being push to labour ward. I dunno how do I react at that time, i was keep reminded by midwife to breath in and blow out... the laughing gas made me blur and unclear what is going on... but i know i keep groaning .. "i'm scared .. i'm cold .. i can't hear you". Every contraction come I tends to push out but the midwife reminded me to relax while waiting for gynae to arrive. she inserted her finger in my opening to prevent my further tear.

then I heard "doctor is here"... my both legs are immediately lifted up to each side. Gynae want me to push when the next contraction come. with 1 hand holding the gas mask, the other hand grabbing my own thigh, i'm preparing for the push.. the 1st push.. not good enough.. 2nd push.. I tried my very best. Immediately, i heard the loud baby crying..

uh.. give birth alr? I opened my eyes and saw my boy was put on top of my tummy! He is crying loud! the midwife clear up the water in his mouth while clipping his umbilical cord. Then he was carried away, i continue with the laughing gas, a warm discharge from opening.. while i continue to breath hardly, i know gynae is doing the stitch for me.. slowly.. my conscious started to black out.. i feel the surrounding is dark.. the only thing i can hear is the crying sound of my baby. few seconds later, the brightness come in and i regain my conscious.. i realised it's over now.

Oohh.. i just went through the pain and given birth. I did it!! I told myself.

the whole thing is just too fast~ from the waterbag burst till labour just took 3hrs plus. I'm really lucky that I did not need to bear for the pain for long hours.

After Ryan was cleaned and with his measurements taken.. he was finally put beside me. He is so quiet now compared to his loud crying just now. he was wrapped and put beside me while both of us was being trolley to his nursing ward and my ward.

A sleepless night for me. The pain from below and tummy still there and the labouring is just so vivid in my mind. I wish the dawn to come quickly as most importantly.. i wan to see my baby~~

I would say that I’m a lucky preggy.

I hardly have any morning sickness or vomiting before my confirmation of pregnancy at week 10 and that explained why I only have pregnant suspect so late as I thought it was just another late of period.

That was funny when I first use of pregnancy tester. I did not put it through the urine long enough and end up the result was blur, alamak, not sure bingo or not.. in the end, need to buy another one to re-test again.

Sourced from forum and decided to visit the gynae clinic’s at SK, not only near to where we stay, he also serve 6-9pm slot which is convenient for both of us that taking leave is needless. I knew this gynae is popular but never expect that the Q would be so long! His popularity + SK homed by newly wed = long waiting Q.. sometimes.. waited for 2 hrs.

The only thing bothered me during 1^st trimester is a bit of giddiness and low appetite. I don’t like to eat any of the food and end up keep eating porridge, which made me feel hungry faster and end up to have vomiting feel. But all these were soon go off when I enter 2^nd trimester.

It was a 180 deg changed starting from week 15. All the vomiting feel, giddiness and low appetite gone! I craved for any food and indeed I ate every food (except seafood) and I feel energetic as there’s totally no morning sickness or insomnia.

I started to spend my time reading the pregnancy books and he started to browse the forums to learn more about pregnancy. As usual, I drove to work and continued attending whatever site meetings. I informed my office on my pregnancy when it was 3 mths. I thought the job scopes would be adjusted but nothing changed till the end.. bush.. kns..

I tried my very best to keep myself healthy, along the 9 mths, I only claimed for 2 times MC which I suffered from diarrhea. Other than the vitamins given by gynae, I drink the milk for pregnant mummy, bird nest, pao shen long yan shui, a lot a lot of fruits… etc

Coming closer to 3^rd trimester, we spent time to source and buy baby stuff. Wuh.. sometimes $$ would just spent like that in order to get the best for baby.. daddy & mummy’s love already bloated before baby is born.. haha

church wedding & SCI dinner

I have my first church wedding last saturday and it's our pleasure to share the blissful moment on Xiaoli's solemnization. The speech given by xiaoli.. is real touching. not have much time chatting with her cos her guest really a lot!! in the end, we guys zhixiang fenyi, eric siewmei, yingqing & bf chat ourselves during tea reception.

During one of the weekday last week, i went to have this SCI (singapore concrete institute) dinner with colleagues, sponsored by company (but spent $6 carpark fees in Tangs!!!).. i knew there's lot of high rank and "powered" ppl all around la.. but i duno who are they.. i jus enjoy my dinner.

very funny.. it's till later part then i realised there's someone i knew that captured in the above photo, that's ji jin yuan tong xue.. kekeeke.. this is the dinner that ppl distributing their namecards.. so do my boss.

Frankly speaking, i'm still in the mood of laziness since the days back from Japan.. 懒懒地

my legs are tired now, as i made them to walk up and down for 5 blocks at least 35 floors yesterday. tired de lo.. jus to check the rectification work. total 8 blocks with 2 carparks, this is the biggest project site we ever handle.. is it bcos it's at AMK?? Uncle Lee's community?

this is two of the sample units. I'm surprise to see the gate pattern, it's not the normal straight design.. it has decoration floral design.. and the door looks very modern ~ is all this cost included into the flat cost?

punggol has a huge construction of HDB project sites now, one glance can see the skyline full with tower cranes. personally feel that the exterior design of HDB flat is getting more of "condo" look with the full height windows and all the feature fin designs, no longer the traditional look, not bad. however, bcos of this design.. we suffered lots of quality issue and difficulties in order to create and comply to the design.

I remember there were once having a discussion with an Architect in order to persuade him to change his design due to precast constraint, he said something like "hm.. why should Architect give in for precast? shouldn't the precaster follow what architect design?" .. if yr design is not precast friendly then it will be not be cost effective mah..

I have been seeing the concrete for the past 6 years... but when the building was completed with window glass and painted with the theme colour.. the piece & piece of components becomes a building.. a very good feeling

I can't wait to see another site at Queentown to finish .. this is the MOST & MOST jia lat design we ever encounter. the facade design change every floor, not much repetition. will it be good to view or bad to view? somemore the RE there is one of the ntu coursemate.. good luck frd !!

When i was still staying at tiong bahru, there's also a site just in front of my block.. that's 40 sty HDB building at bukit merah.. i'm sure the one who got the high floor can view the singapore flyer and fireworks from marina !! great location de lo...

Before whatever I’m going to write for this Hokkaido trip, I must note down this biggest surprise first.

She is same age as me.
She has same surname as mine.
She is also going Japan for honeymoon.
She took package from Fables too.
She had her wedding banquet at Grand Straits Restaurant too.

We have too many similarities
And there is more..

We have known each other since year-7th.
We have not been seeing each other for 15 years?

And I only recognized her during our first lunch in Otaru!!

Gosh.. I never expect to have this surprise during the trip!!
Yeah.. She is my primary classmate
For those in class 1M, 2M and 3M .. remember her?

me: "hm.. 你是不是凤婷 ? "

she: "是啦! 你是奕绮嘛 ! "

Since then, she is my hot spring companion.
Her husband is James’s companion of course!
We help each other to take photos..
Chit chat around and..
We both couples were also kena sabo to have kissing session in the bus!
Mainly becos we are the 2 newly wed couples in the tour group!

That’s 有缘.. la!!

JX's bday definitely more than mine, we had steamboat + strawberry cake + dessert. And i crack my head to make a card for her.. wahaha.. paiseh ho

i treat dear a dinner at brewbaker that near our home, jus 5 mins walk
"A moment when you can get away from the bustle and hustle, an escape from worldly affairs, an escape to brewkaber's..."

We went to prawn fishing at marina country club just opposite our neighborhood. crowded on Sunday. Prawn fishing is not difficult. I get excited when my first hook was jus within the first 5 mins!! this is my 2nd catch, look at his giant "hands"! We got 13 prawns and in the end.. they were BBQ-ed !!

怎么办! 心情还是相当亢奋!

每次很用心地完成一件事, 我就会开心很久很久.

从策划, 准备, 行动到安排, 都是第一次的我们要怎样做才不会出错, 要怎样做才是适当的, 真的有很多学问在里头咧.

感觉很复杂, 有些新人把筹备工作交给wedding planner, 有些亲力亲为. 像我们这样, 虽然很累, 但有全家人和朋友的帮忙, 再累也值得. 我觉得很开心, 很满足, 很有成就感!!

也许没有Alex Tan的一切完美, 但其他不完美已经不重要啦!!

如今, 那些美好的画面就只能留在回忆里了

last weekend attended the HDB D&D at The Fullerton Hotel.. sponsored by company, $200 per pax.. don't play play.. that's really a big sum!! the course is so-so.. but the show is hilarious!! the theme is Shanghai Night.. lots of ladies dress in cheong-sum, man dress like 上海滩老大.. 5 departments from HDB giving out the performance like singing, dancing, band and drama.. the funniest one is the show of 上海滩.. 超搞笑. just didn't expect the head or the officers look stern in days.. but when come to show.. they can 霍出去! The special guest is Patricia Mok.. so skinny !!

现在，我忙着工作，爸忙社团活动也搞这个筹款
原来这种魄力是遗传的！

Schedule – meeting – delay – target – rush – discrepancy – coordination – defects – rectification – production – delivery – progress

These are words I'm facing everyday… and challenging. Never can expect what is going to be handled the actual day. Once starts work, calls will flow in, additional works will pile up. battling each day with positive minds, never think of running away... I faced it, I handled it as I always believe there’s nothing can’t be solved.

To keep surviving, attack when in advantage, defence when in disadvantage, as long as it’s a statement of FACT. Though I’m still a subcon in a meeting, I’m not scared whether you are consultant or main-con...moreover, only a work..

But there’s one time.. I was hit down by a super 鸟人. So what if he is a director from consultant? 自视过高，鼻子长在眼睛上，鸟话一堆，越听越想丢些狗屎过去。身为一个 director说出伤人的话，只是显出你的幼稚和无知。Though my confident was crashed by him, but I learnt from that, I returned a smile to him as I see no points to continue the conversation with him....

That day a PM said I look so “秀气” as most of the lady in construction line are boyish. Chey, lady in construction also go for perm hair, short skirt and high heels lo!! What’s the different of us? Another 鸟人

I’m a supplier, a subcon and I don’t have the luxury to have loud voice. Instead we have to do lots of reports, update lots of progress to all the parties. Each time, I have to mask myself up to be strong and tough. Damn tired!! I wish I won’t be a supplier anymore!! I want to be the owner!! The one that have the last say!! Even be a small small engineer but still representing the highest hierarchy.

最近脑袋很涨, 太多东西得处理.
对于一个工作满6天的我来说, 仅剩的空余时间并不多.
希望一切顺心顺意, 那烦恼就少点.

Last night all of us had our early dinner then standby in front of TV for the Badminton Men's Single's Final.

Though M'sian Lee Chong Wei unable to beat China Super Dan, but at least he done his best to get into FINAL.

And Lee got his Olympic Silver medal with 12-21, 8-21.

We should be proud of him !

在极度忙碌的工作之余
我们去HK疯狂地
买东西，吃东西。。。
。。。买东西，吃东西

Summary一下

发记甜品的芒果pancake, 芒果糯米卷很特别咯
并不会因为吃太多甜品而感到罪恶的。

除了去茶楼吃点心外，
也尝了很普通的通心粉，公仔面，猪扒包，
还有“世上最好味的旦挞”
晚餐也吃了烧鹅，但不是那排长龙的镛记。

路走很多，脚很痛
天气很热，人很多
衣服很美，买不多
但买的东西却很够力
回程大家都满载而归
飞机坐的很不舒服，头很痛
凌晨3点躺在床上
脑袋是累的，但是脚板的细胞却超活跃！
塞利啦！想睡却睡不了

总结下来
罪恶至极的。。。
就是它啦！！
这是初体验，感觉很深刻。
这样的店，女人多到数不清
情形就像上市场买菜一样
“我要看这个，我要看那个”
那种环境下，你是整个融入没有价值观的世界中
不管价钱多少，只是一个没有感觉的figure
然后非得挑一个满足地走出店外

昨天早上，有小小吓到。

7.30am，在等候过交通灯之前
隔壁柱着雨伞站立的白发阿嫲
竟然在我眼前
整个人向后倾倒下
而且后脑勺倒在地上还清楚听见那清脆的KOK声音

真的吓到！
那2秒钟，我呆立原地
隐约记得自己曾经冲口喊出一声

我以为阿嫲晕倒
向前看她的眼睛，半眯很恍惚
后来她的手向上仰
我赶快扶上她的手臂
后面再走来几个年轻人
合力把阿嫲扶起来。

阿嫲站起来后，喃喃自语
我们问她好吗？要回家吗？
她含糊地用广东话回答，好，多谢

我很担心勒，不知道会不会伤到脑
因为那个声音真的太震撼了！
后来有个阿姨走前来，问发生了什么事
她是认识阿嫲的
阿嫲说她不舒服，跌倒了，想回家
我们把阿嫲如何跌倒告诉她
她就扶着阿嫲往回走了

我继续路程往MRT走
心还是仆仆跳地
如果当时只有我一个人，我应该怎么做？
如果当时阿嫲真的有事，我可以做什么？
为什么当时停在交通灯前的车辆，没有伸出援手？
对于面对这种Emergency的时刻
我还是没有很好的situation awareness
公司里每次有工人受伤，我连伤口也不敢看
一旦发生这种事，总会有男人走在前头去解决

当我们把阿嫲扶起来后
我无法冷静思考要如何慰问阿嫲

一句“要回家吗？”我也没能在当下想到

记宽中Rojak Uncle

今天听家里两个小的说起
心里确实惊讶了一下
说起这位Rojak uncle
在Stulang Laut屹立不倒了多少年啊?
记我认识他,也至少13年了吧!

想起高一那年,开始留校,
头头的刷姑就慢慢变得贪玩
这里逛那里哈拉
因为圈子里有位美丽的台湾妹
就顺理成章地大胆起来
话匣子打开,我也跟着扮熟.哈
记忆中的uncle, 很开朗
喜欢和学生打成一片
Rojak 只炒油条也很ok

高二那年, uncle还帮我们在食堂义卖
我负责剪油条
手指简直就觉得要断掉了
这小则义卖的故事
有记载在理3历史散文著称的班刊里

贵为宽中rojak uncle,
可以说宽中有多少人,就有多少人认识他对吧?
有听过他上过Astro的节目
也算是JB的代表人物哦
他就如此驻守在宽中的校门外
如此日复一日地
为多少白色校服的学生们
送上一日课程后, 小小的甜点.

如今, rojak uncle走了,
边疆墙外, 再也看不见他的身影
也看不见宽中生们手上拎着rojak的景象了.

还有电话指示我要怎么写,　浅词用意必须慎重
Defense points要attach with proofs
跟xx board 有工作往来，paperworks 不止要好
还得具备一流的writing skills, 不然bullets shoot 来shoot去
一个不留神，就死无塟身之地.
有时候真不知道老板是给我薪水的人还是什么board的Engineers

其实不能有太多抱怨
因为有人feedback说这个地方是我的出气筒
不是这样的咯，我并不想地.

说说上周末回kampong喝堂弟的喜酒
不在大酒店在学校礼堂宴请40席,
当然是为了热闹，karaok和好料满满的酒菜咯
这个大家族啊，就是喜欢搞排场．

但因为职场关系, 要有个女同事真的很难

所以特别珍惜可以谈得来的Admin, account dep的女同事

因为有她们, 我还能够在茶余饭后聊八卦!!

不然就是逃离冰冷的二楼到楼下, 让我听她们的complaints

有些同事就只能当同事, 但我们不受office politics的影响

都是朋友, 偶尔碰面updates彼此

The rental contract was due 2 days ago. Have been bargaining with landlord since last month, his new offer was an increment of $500 per month. We are so sad to hear that. He said the agents been calling him whether to look for new tenants. But he prefers to give the priority back to us whether to extend or not. We knew the market rate has been madly accountable like that and we can only try to bargain and hopefully landlord can be more “kind-hearted”. Instead of going round and around for new place, we continue to stay here with a raise of $400 per month. Uh~ so pain-hearted!

We can get angry over the greediness of people, we can feel the unfair justification of price rate, we can complaint everything under the roof, but what can we do in the end? We still have to bear with the trend of market. If you don’t want, there are other people who want it. That’s the real world. Everything $$ first.

I was promoted when I back to work after my ROM. You may quote it 双喜临门, but I don’t feel happy at all. When you are one level up, you suppose to have assistances downstream right? But it doesn’t happen here. Last time is one Mgr up and one Egr down, now the only Egr become asst Mgr, still the 2 person in the department, does it make any differences?

From what I see, they just use this trick in order to persuade someone to stay back with the company. Not only loaded, but over-loaded. 20 projects! I heard from a long services colleague that company never reach such a PEAK like right now. Nobody can cope with the existing works now, when being pushed and pressurized, there comes frustration, emotionally imbalance and the working atmosphere is terribly tensioned! We are not man-power ready to handle so many projects at same time! The inadequacy capability of the company… so disappointed.

Mostly I need to attend meeting everyday. After few hours spending on the journey and meeting, still need to spend more times on replying the emails and paperwork. The work keeps piling up like snowballs, so scary!! It is not easy to sit down in the meeting room facing with whoever project directors lah, project managers lah.. bla bla.. everyone is acting bossy and giving instruction, since they are the authority. For me, I’m just like watching a show, see how those upstream personnel expressing their power in chasing progresss, TALKING ONLY. Some ppl just like to comment and comment, so what if u are holding those titles. 装腔作势.

Met some real gentleman in main-con, some very nasty with words, some 笑里藏刀的奸人, some trying to bully me when I’m always the only lady in most of the site meeting, but sorry loh.. you mean to me, I will mean to you in return of courtesy one loh. Real difficult for me to stand on alone out there and I gotta act tough!!

emhem.. I must express my gratitude to those who left comments in my previous post.. be it encouragement or "counter encouragement" comments

well the slimming centre that gave me such bad impression is LWM.. I had read some comments from the forums and it's true that this centre is unable to provide good impression to customer.. so i won't take their words very hard lah.. what serious? i believe everyone have this kind of body problem like what they mentioned one..

thanks for sharing few ways of getting slim. oh ya.. would like to ask what kind of doctor to see as you mentioned? curious too ~ don't mind pls share here

I still eat wat i like to eat.. just reduce the serving ..keke.. anywhere.. lossing weight should be a gradually process, and be it in a healthy way. hopes all the ladies out there to be cheerful for what you are now.. ^_^

and i must say that.. i'm not that fat loh.. LOL!!

Out of curiosity – experience sharing

I had done something out of curiosity in order to understand.

First time step into a slimming centre not long ago to “know more about the treatment”. I wanna share the experience with you.

Before any consultant giving their beautiful talk they will ask for your IC for “1st-timer” registration. Then they will request u for weight & height measurement, follow by taking down yr particulars, some questionnaire about your occupation, meal habit..etc and lastly, which portion do u target for the treatment.

Then, they will require you to do a body measurement including thigh, hip, waist, arm..etc. Then they start to point out what is the problem for the individual portion. Waoh, seems like every part of my body got problem like 水肿, loose musle, fats, cellulite.. blabla bla..

This slimming centre only using different ampoules to direct apply on the targeted portion.. so u may expect the treatment in few routine circle of water detention, detox, fats burning, muscle toning.. etc..

I asked about the price. SHOCK MAN!! She introduces me to take up a package that cost $9999 for full body treatment!!! SIAO AR !!!! I’m not a super over-weight person and yet need to spend that MUCH in order to get rid a few KG?!?! Doesn’t make sense at all!!

"Can I take a cheaper package?"

"Can, but only a few treatment will not make any diferences to you since your condition is so serious"

........................serious? ?!?!?!

I began to say let me consider first in order to cabut. But these 2 ladies take turns to hard sell one loh.. trying every means to convince me this package includes treatment up to 20 times + FOC 10 times. When I didn’t show any interest.. they start to counter proposed me to pay for the HALF first then settle another half if I wan to continue. TMD, keep pestering me today u sign up u will enjoy what what what 1st timer exclusive treatment.

Finally I run away from that boutique. But the haunting never ends.. keep calling me up for a week.. I never answer.

Now I know how the price range for slimming is and I had satisfied my curiosity.

too quiet lately

I know I’m quiet lately, apparently I am really busy. Apart from the busy office work and attending never ending site meetings, I seldom online during office hours nowadays. I’m unable to online at night bcos my sis went to China for attachment, bringing along her laptop! That’s the reason why I’m inactive recently.. anywhere, thanks for the concern for those who wonders how am I doing. I’m doing well loh.. but too much issues in my brain now.

Besides the sickening works, I have to put in my time and effort into our ROM preparation, the customary banquet consideration and the most tiring – house hunting!

I have made an understanding to my manager that I would probably taking more annual leave during these 2 months and hopefully reduce the chances to attend site meeting in order to prevent the sun-tan !! The countdown days are nearly 50 days from my ROM now, what I can do is less outdoor sun-tanning at site and eat lesser.

One of my department colleague decided not to renew her WP and I wish the new colleague can follow up her work very soon, however it all depends on how fast I can teach and how far she can understand. Lots of calls from site and client's engineer had been pressurize me too much, to be frank, I can’t follow up.. no time and no energy. We are the MAJOR precast supplier for government projects from 2008 till 2010. It is a good news to the boss but can we cope? Even the structural head from autority came here to see if we are capable to handle and financially stable to support government projects.

Read newspaper about blogger or facabook users get into trouble when they posted some photos or articles in no means but later lost their job or having court case. So.. I’m going to delete those “recycle bin” articles that I always mentioned someone as BASTARD.. ahahhahahahahhaaaaaaaaa

Another WooHa issue lately is the escaped militant suspect, making the causeway JAM JAM JAM. My motorist colleague was stuck at 2nd link for 3 hours before he reached his home at Gelang Patah. I saw the longggggggg queue of Lorries stretch along AYE towards 2nd link at 8pm last night. Would the suspect try his luck to flee to M’sia if he knows that the security check at custom is 100% now?

A bit long? Hm.. I don’t have much to write lah.. ha.. one thing surprised me and then shocked me is knowing someone is going GREECE for 2 weeks vacation!! THAT'S COOL loh !!

忙碌的跨年

不好意思, 先跟大家打声招呼~ 好久不见

如果您曾经不厌其烦地光临寒舍, 然后一次又一次的失望, i'm sorry >_<
交代一下, 最近很忙. 有了闲情缺了逸致, 一言难尽.

上一次的公司聚餐, 说好听是Annual Dinner + New Year Party, 就是觉得只是老板用来show off自己是什么又什么club的有钱人. 一群"刷姑"样的我们在几十张桌子的人群中现得格格不入. 各得其乐也称得上慰劳宴? 也太轻视员工了吧. 离开的早, 开车经过滨海湾, 黑压压的, 不知有多少人在等待那瞬间的烟火? 午夜前回到tiong bahru, 虽然看不见滨海湾的烟火, 却听见炮响声如audio surrounding, 看见前方mount faber的点点烟花. 还是有过节的气氛啦.

之后, 工作很忙.. 一个礼拜要跑几个site meeting.. 搞到头很昏.. 快要被各路人马逼死了!! meeting回来屁股还没坐热, 又被老板们使来唤去. Anywhere, 我还是很积极地面对, 兵来将挡, 我不怕你的咯. 公事也不想写太多, 免得大家看得烦.. 总之.. I still can handle.

参与了一个晚宴, 主办单位是新山的乐心善舍, 为洗肾中心募款. 乐心善舍的成立是帮助有所需要的人, 不久前在皇后花园开了第一间洗肾中心, 目前有8台洗肾机. 会上有表演, 有募款, 有访问, 还有录制片段.. 感觉很像NKF show. 关于乐心善舍.. 以后有机会再介绍吧.

有天晚上跟大家吃火锅时才爆出某友人就在当天注册结婚了. 惊讶的程度不小, 但为同桌子的两个友人不值, 竟然在问对方晚上是否吃火锅时才告知"不行, 我今天刚注册". 那种心情, 是何等滋味呀..还是好朋友勒. 心底还是得现上祝福.. 祝你们永远幸福快乐.

不知道是没有话题, 还是standard question, 逢人必被问几时结婚, 我脸上有写着"我要嫁了!" 吗? 那么..既然大家都那么迫切想知道.. 好咯.. 要来廖. 等一下.. 再等一下就有廖.

放工后陆陆续续把咖啡王子看完, 嘻嘻哈哈的超开心, 非常好的减压方式. 现在考虑要不要继续看溏心风暴. 老实说工作压力太大了, 如果晚上再追着剧情咬牙切齿的溏心, 我不疯掉才怪!

眼看农历新年就在两个星期后, 却一点感觉也没有. 公司休息4天.. 还要拿compulsory leave.

过年后, 我会更忙!!

New Year Eve

Today is the New Year eve.

I don’t have any celebration plan for tonight as I’m going for the company annual dinner at Yatch Club tonight. Feel very very reluctant to spend the day with the fellow colleagues, I would prefer to spend the day with good frds and family. So.. I plan to cabut from the dinner around 9pm plus.. let’s see.

Today is another normal working day and we are expecting to get our pay + bonus (if any) today. Everyone is eager to know how’s the rewards like.. always the time for the employees to desire for bonus but expression always turn sour when the figure finally revealed. “Economic is good” always feedback by the government but it doesn’t seems to apply to every business. When time for year-end speech, things like “don’t expect too much as the business profit is not high”.. whether high or not, only the speaker knows himself.

There’s nothing for me to conclude for my year 2007 but at least with the existence of this blog since Jan 07, can always refer back to the events and things I had experienced and encountered. Nothing had change much compared to myself with 365 days ago. In fact I have given a commitment for myself and him which will go along with the coming years ahead.

I had experienced the actual hot bidding of rental flat when searching for an accommodation. After all we are not belong to this nation and that’s a fact which I had to learnt, the competency and the reality.

Apart from the busy work load, I had an opportunity given to spend some days in Batam, Phuket, Cambodia, Taiwan and a few outings with the old friends. The frame of mind will tend to change when new sights came into the vision.

I may say there’s still a lot of things not done, and I know lazy is not the excuse! Eem mm.. I said I wan to change the job but I didn’t, I wan to lose some weight but I didn’t, I wan to save more but I spend more instead.. ha.. too much .. and I didn’t complete the Taiwan travel blog till now..

无论过去如何, 得继续更积极的过日子. 2008对我来说, 有着一个最重要的计划, 这将是我人生的一个转变, 希望可以和他顺利的实现.

1) I had completed the OHSAS 18001 Audit with Auditor (ok.. not much problem)

2) I had the christmas lunch in office (the buffet so so lo..)

3) target to knock off at 5.30pm (look at the msn online list, think everyone on leave or half day)

4) just got my ring being cleaned at jewellery boutique.. and it's shiny and bling bling now.. macam brand new

5) considering of upgrading to Destinee tonight.. let's see.. (diamond season and promotion now..)

Days before the outing

I think I woke up with half-sleep conscious this morning, the brain is not working too well. I walked into the office as if there were tons of iron balls locking on my foot. I’m really over-tired over the weekends.

I got so much intention to get MC for last Friday before I could fall asleep the previous nite. My whole arms, neck area and face were sun-burned so badly that the skin was firing! I look at my reddish arms and think back why such things always happen? There the construction site got another Stop Work Order and I had a serious sun burn under the sun for 3hrs right in the middle of afternoon.

I was instructed to go down to the Authority for debriefing, who knows end up to be like questioning session. We are not criminals or what right? Why such kind of action-action attitudes? Lots of rectification prepare work need to be done, so relief that this ball is not thrown to me!! There only I got chance to go for my weekend outing.. phew ~

12-buddies weekend

Weekend outing at Pengerang (边佳兰) for the sumptuous seafood lunch then followed by a night stay at Teluk Ramunia (应该是六湾岛). 3 cars with total 12 old buddies with regular attendants and rare attendants (special guest is freedom100cc). So grateful that we have the sunny weather all the way. Another pop-out suggestion by Veerla was a place called 天涯海角that near Desaru. We finally found the place after a 20 mins walk on muddy road along the golf course & bushes. According to them, this place was so remote and undiscovered with superb scenery of ocean and beach, popular to some wedding photo taking.

The friendship that I cherish...

Then we head to the resort, one thing touch my heart is that the resort we stayed was the place we went 11 years ago. Everything looks so familiar without drastic change. Self made BBQ and never-ending chit chat with the waves as music beside. I’m really impressed some of the gang chatted till early 5am.. WAOHH ~~ sorry, I miss it ~

Though the resort is not a Star-graded one, but at least a place for us to gather. Back to Jusco tebrau, we watched the The Warlords (投名状) together.. have been how long that we never tried to watch movie in a big gang?! and.. I cried over a few scences.. really a worth watching movie..

A tiring yet contented weekend with the old buddies, great laugh man!!! I finally rest at 2am after a big jam in perling and causeway. Came to office today with pening kepala, looking at the pile of works…

台北第三章

这天要到台湾的北海岸线, 去那里看大自然著作下的景观.

先介绍一下个人最爱的早餐, 就是蛋饼加热红茶. Cheese蛋饼, 火腿蛋饼, 香肠蛋饼种类很多, 普通的早餐料理店或档口就是卖蛋饼, 三文汁, 豆浆之类的. 红茶从没喝过热的, 现在是回味无穷.

9点钟来到国道客运总站, 向国光买了到金山的票 (NT92, 发车时间每20分钟一趟), 约70分钟的车程, 于野柳下车. 沿路可以看见海峡与台湾北部的海岸线. 我们的所在地是个高地, 必须沿着路旁一条小道向下走. 往下走后看见的是渔港, 渔船很有规律的在港边摆荡, 一股远离城市喧嚣的舒服感油然而生. 这里不是旅游巴士的路经之地, 所以没有大招牌指引我们, 这样很好, 原有的环境却不因观光区而商业化起来. 向几个闲聊的阿嬷问了路, 就饶过渔港向对面的方向走. 过了保安宫, 看到了很多旅游巴士, 对面的海鲜餐馆殷勤的邀您入座.

野柳风景区是一个从海岸边延伸出去的沙岩区, 经风化海蚀与地壳运动后的岩石形成了各种奇特的景观. 人气明星就是颈部日趋变小的女王头, 仙女鞋, 烛台石. 缴了NT50的入门票, 沿着路走进全长1700公尺的岩岬, 隔壁不远的海洋公园正播放热情奔放的音乐, 和这里海浪澎湃的沙岩区形成对比. 挨近女王头, 必须找到Right angle, 确实像个高贵的女王, 孤傲地远视前方. 这天早上没有太阳, 海风呼呼吹得很感冒. 本想尽量走到岩岬末端, 从介绍册看来末端还有二十四孝岩可看, 但越走越远后就没有很好的铺设路可以走了, 而且感觉海浪就在咫尺, 风很大, 有点怕就倒回头了. 总得来说, 整个地质公园维护的很好, 我们才有机会在经万年后的今天, 欣赏大自然的杰作. 若待它日消失, 也是因为日趋的海蚀, 而不是今日的人为破坏.

午餐很道地, 在港边的街上, 走进一家小吃馆. 第一次吃沙茶板面, 好吃得很!! 看看别桌子都在喝汤, 也跟老板娘要了一小锅. 蚵仔汤, 只用姜丝和葱花调味, 新鲜嫩嫩的蚵仔, 吃得非常鲜甜美味.一路回到之前下车的地方, 误信便利店的老板娘, 以为到金山会有更多公车可转去淡水. 结果嘞, 约15分钟到了金山, 也就一部淡水客运,而且在野柳就可以搭了啦. 时间关系, 得在太阳落幕前到渔人码头! NT100的车资, 一小时的车程, 换来的是一路上的海景(有点像Great Ocean Road) 然后是疲惫之后的小睡.

淡水站, 仿佛是红砖砌成的建筑. 老街非常热闹, 一条街一直往下走, 看到 “阿婆铁蛋”的店后往左走进巷子, 来到搭船往渔人码头的地方啦. 浪花卷起, 老街渐渐远离, 不多久, 白色尖角的情人桥渐渐趋进. 在码头甲板上静静的享受落日的余辉. 入夜的情人桥更添浪漫, 在寒冷的风中, 为爱恋中的人抹上丝丝情意.

淡水有名的就是鱼酥和铁蛋. 在之前说到的“阿婆铁蛋”店买了5包各NT50的鱼酥, 往回走后, 发现其他店标着买5送1 (价钱牌子一样的咯!), 真是百密一疏, 在百家争鸣中也没赚到便宜! 吹了那么多的冷风, 喝上一碗阿给鱼丸汤, 真是满足饱暖啊!! 其它景点如红毛城, 龙山寺等就时间关系没办法去咯.

这晚约好和两位朋友到主题餐厅五角船板晚餐. 豫婷和琳慧是在中学时期, 通过阿牛留言版认识的网友, 陆续联络至今, 初初见面, 多多指教. 说不完的话题, 也稍微留意这艺术洋溢的餐厅. 水池中独奏小提琴的男生, 倍感寂寞. 饭后晃到美丽华, 抬头望望青青大轮美丽华摩天轮. 觉得啊, 当年贪玩之余, 也有幸认识了一些有意思的朋友, 不同背景更碰出不同的火花. 初到贵境, 多谢照顾哪.

台北第二章

接下来台北的3天都会住在西门町. 在出发前上网寻找饭店时, 就发现台湾的饭店网页做的很专业, 所有资料都很详尽, 照片都介绍的很漂亮. 饭店都会注明预订饭店3天后必需缴定金. 但对于外国游客, 都是以互相信任来保留房间, 那费用就当天再缴就可以了. 建议网上定房后, 再在住宿几天前电话确定. 西门町的饭店比较popular, 还有提供休息服务, 所以再次确定到达时间较安全.

我们都有一个习惯, 就是喜欢先走走看看, 熟悉整个地理环境. 我们先到台北车站对面的国道客运总站询问野柳的车票与时间, 就怕有开车的时间表. 走回台北车站, 看见了大大的 “怀宁饭店”招牌, 是我们在台北的last accommodation.

台北火车站靠西3出口, 有一间很有意思的店. 发起人因为喜欢火车, 喜欢铁道, 创作了许多关于铁道之类的纪念品. 我在这里看见了木质明信片, 是人气商品, 店长还贴了告示: “不要问了, 真的可以寄!” . 店外准备了很多盖章, 选了两个明信片, 就加入盖章行列咯! 店长有代寄服务, 把地址写好, 要寄到东南亚, 店长跟我收了两个明信片共60元的邮票费. 台湾回来后, 终于收到了, 看了邮票, 结果一个明信片只要两张12元的邮票叻!

白天里有太阳的台北感觉蛮温暖的, 可是台北女生都穿得很东京. 虽然不冷, 但身上的冬装是一应俱全, 美~到我也很想买几件外套! 不行, 今天才第一天, 不能那么败家.. 我忍..

中正纪念堂是个大广场, 一个超大的 “大中至正”的牌坊, 大意盎然的守卫着正前方的纪念堂, 左右坐拥音乐厅与戏剧厅. 这时候的中正纪念堂都在维修当中, 安全网遮盖了建筑外观, 少了原有的气势. 中正纪念堂的展览馆存放着许多蒋介石的文物, 述说着蒋公一生的辉煌事迹. 一个历史知识的殿堂, 竟然不收费的, 营运成本哪里来?

磨了一大半下午, 得赶紧到别地方去了, 11月的台北, 下午4点多就不大见太阳. 因为这样, 觉得每天都过得太快! 到了国父纪念馆, 还赶的上5点钟的交兵仪式. 问几位当地人都不知道这仪式在哪里!! 最后还是问保安咯! 就在纪念馆的正前厅, 有一个很大的孙中山铜像高高坐立着, 左右两旁站着一位宪兵守卫着. 5点钟就是这两位人兄换班的时候啦. 上下接班的宪兵会耍枪, 步操还有敬礼. 蛮特别的, 体现国人对国父的崇高敬意.

从国父纪念馆可以看见台北101. 步行过去, 经过市政府大厦, 短短10分钟, 天很快就暗下来. 在交通灯前碰见5个娃娃, 2008北京奥运的 “北京欢迎您”. 台北101亮着蓝色的灯, 抬头看, 又怎样呢? 好吧, 你是世界第一, 过不久你就要被打败了, Dubai Tower将会比你高哦.. 又怎样呢? 我也只能俯首看着你. 还好还有个经典LOVE icon给我们照像.

今晚就在华纳威秀看色戒, 对面的新光三越周年庆打着折, 走走而已, 没有花钱啦! 本来嫌戏票贵不想看的, 但既然都来了. 3个小时后从影院出来, 有小小的后悔.. 我想ah dear也是看得不太懂的咯!

近午夜12点的信义商圈还很热闹. 两个人很假厉害的想自己走到市政府站, 以为捷运站就在市政府大厦下面(this is Singapore theory吗?), 过了几条街, 屁啦, 人影都没有, 就连街上的车也少的可怜. 19度的午夜, 风刮着地上的落叶唰唰响. 果然, 兜了一圈, 市政府站的入口竟然在远处一个建筑工地后面.. 谁~知道啊! 这么冷清的市政府区却有两个迷途的人.

台湾! 我来啦~~

久等了.

先介绍一下. 8天7夜台湾游, 14/11/07 ~ 21/11/07.
新加坡 - 台北4天 - 日月潭2天 - 台北1天 - 新加坡
8天说长不长, 说短不短, 并没有环岛走透透, 就选了近台中的日月潭. 留点遗憾, 其他地方就留给下次的旅程咯.

相隔一天, 又跟Jestar see you again了. 下午1点10分的班机, 估计5点40分抵达台湾. 4个小时后, 从小窗看出去, 是一条没有终点的橙黄平行线, 在这浩瀚的云层上, 我们仿佛才是静止的, 静静的感受太阳瞬间的落幕, 让平行线一点一点的缩小, 让灰蒙覆盖橙黄.

桃园中正机场(CKS Airport)在这时候并不繁忙, 入境厅只有我们的班机搭客, 不多时间就办好手续入境了. 走到游客中心, 拿了些资料, 顺便申请了青年旅游卡. 虽然没什么用的着, 就留个纪念. 注意哦, 所谓的青年, 就仅限至30岁.嘻, 还不老, 还不老. 走向 “市区巴士”, 向国光客运买了往台北车站的票 (NT125), 步出机场, 仅6点多天色已很暗, 冷风擞擞地吹来… hey, Welcome to Taiwan ~

一路上的桃园好暗, 没能看见什么, 一小时后, 窗外景色开始绚丽, 五彩招牌让人目不暇接, 是台北了. 远远看见 “台-北-车-站” 安稳地靠在一栋建筑物顶端, 那就是我们接下来8天台湾行的起点了.

走进台北车站, 偌大的厅人来人往, 台北车站是火车站, 我们还得跟着指示牌往underground的台北捷运站前进. 指示牌有够多, 真的要认清走好, underground的世界真的四通八达, 一个不小心, 会走错出口的咯! 买了NT500悠游卡(same as Sg Eazylink card), 企图老马识图的融入人群中, 但是身上的大包包还是掩饰不了自己是观光客. 而且老是笨拙地站在电梯左边, 台湾是和新马反方向的咯. 贴心哪, 捷运站还设有夜间妇女等候区.

由于往日月潭的行程编排在星期天, 担心车票问题, 我们就直接到忠孝复兴站附近的丰荣客运. 从出口出来, 天啊~ 东南西北往哪个方向啊? SOGO百货, 十字路口怎么看哪个方向都有可能, 只有地址没有图标, 还是问保安员最快捷. 丰荣客运是唯一提供每小时一趟往日月潭的客运, 来回票NT900. 搞定车票后, 就往旅馆check in.

第一晚的住宿选择了Steffi大力推荐的凯微精品旅馆, 真的很不错哪! 虽然从捷运站(双连)要步行10分钟, 地点也不是在景点区, 但真的不错啦. 之后到最近的士林夜市, 这个夜市不是在士林站下车哦, 而是在之前的剑潭站. 剑潭站有个特色, 就是建筑外观是一个龙舟, 你注意了吗?

已经9点多, 本应很饿, 但食欲so so. 士林这个夜市有室内和户外的woh. 逛逛夜市, 成衣店, 抓抓乐店, 小吃店, 小地摊热热闹闹.东吃西吃的如像鱼翅汤的螃蟹羹, 油饭, 又贵又不好吃烤珍珠玉米, 像猪肠粉汤料味的甜不辣 (好吃! 可惜没拍照), 碎碎肉的卤肉饭, 不敢恭唯的生炒花枝, 酸酸甜甜的莓蓝汁.. 小兵立大功, 乱吃一通也差不多饱, 这些小兵花费也得NT400呢!

只有遇过落跑的工人, 没想到会有落跑的Engineer!

来自P国的新同事, 上班只有3个星期. Friday拿了薪水, Saturday上班的时候就有人说一个P国同事昨晚收拾行李, 走了! (oh.. 我的公司有提供Stay-in住宿, 就在site office 隔壁). 怎么会这样哪? 明明也是一个大学毕业生啊, 怎么可以就这样落跑?一声也不交代?而且还听说冒签经理签名的leave form.竟然搞到去警局报案来总结. 奇奇怪怪的事常常发生在这个pattern很多的office.

还有.

Perling桥的工程开始在关键期了是不是? 最近晚上开始道路关闭到只有一个车道. Saturday回家竟然一路从tampoi之前塞到perling.一路上还一直很戏剧化的救伤车经过, 有几辆挡在路中抛锚的车子. 本小姐不是车神, 只能适时的串来串去. 远远一直看着Perling exit 前挂着蓝色大布条的building, 嘴里唠叨着“关卡要到了”. U-turn 的弯桥下架着很多的scaffoldings, 看起来很象一扇紧闭的大门突然开了一个小出口, 一辆一辆的车迫不及待, 争先恐后的要逃离. 很累咯, 尤其是右脚踝. 下次我会选择走KL的highway.

车子越来越多, 花在车程上的时间越来越长.

从台湾回来后, JX告诉我SG会上映R21版的原装色戒. 呵, 终于还是敌不过舆论与票房成绩吧.

这次过台湾, 已经说好要看色戒的. 花了大约SGD15, 在赫赫有名的华纳威秀, 名正言顺的入影院看R-rated片. 都上映一个多月了, 还是有70%的入座率. Eh, 听听看, 原来很多大陆观众. 看来, 目的都和我一样, 乘观光赏风光.

之前很多媒体天花乱坠地把那头号画面说得多么重要, 非要不可什么的. 我怎么没有办法感受到? 我反而觉得那些画面拍的太用心太.. 太那个过头了勒. 想要表达王佳芝被易先生的占有, 并不需要那么大幅度的交代吧. 当然, 先前说连老外也叹为观止的人体姿势, 真的是犹如缩骨杂耍或训兽师, 软硬皆具到真的叹为观止咯 (真的不懂要怎样形容). 王力宏也太粉脂味了, 听他企图字正腔圆的说中文, 都起鸡皮疙瘩了. 影片一路沉重, 让我觉得时间过得慢, 是片子太长还是我早早就看不下去了? 这般大师级的艺术著作, 应该是本人不会欣赏也.

还有.

星期三快10点场的HERO, 人数大概就10只手指有得找. 人少当然好, 银幕一览无余, 不用被大头挡, 不过lei, 冷气太冷, 话说得再小也好象很大声, 看到搞笑的想笑大声点也觉得有点为难.

难怪去年会出一个电视特别版, 就是给电影一个序. 如果不是太执着于故事的前因后果, 你大可不必为了错过电视特别版而耿耿于怀, 单看电影, 还是可以跟得上啦. 无须太多思考, 随着久利生公平的解释与画面的交代. 是延续电视剧的风格啦, 有爆笑, 有温馨, 有真理, 更有道理. 赏心悦目. 可是没想到李秉宪就出现那么一下子勒.

熟悉HERO的, 当然会理解里头的笑点... 非常爱买电视购物产品的久利生和order什么有什么的料理员~

嗯，回家的感觉很棒。庆幸还有4天的假才回去公司。

8天的台北甜蜜双人游竟然在dear下德士后觉得很不舍。越来越讨厌这种各自回家的不舍眼神。

用了一天时间把东西整理好，写了一些特稿。老妹还取笑说，真么旅行回来了还在做功课？一路走到bugis想搭express bus回家。很奢侈的买了一个vanilla puff来吃。哟，都起价成一个$2.20了。午后的星期五怎么那么人多？一个人逛逛，企图感染最近的新加坡。圣诞装饰开始布置上来了。HERO开始献映了。

后来故意的过了人多多的红绿灯，脚步不能快的来到观音庙拜拜。没有办法理解，3点钟的星期五，人群从哪里来？这点让一个工作满6天的我来说，很不平衡着！！

回到JB理了个头发，终于把那干枯有余，自相残杀的发尾ka-ca剪了！花了点小钱，买了一些头皮护理的产品，决定努力好好保养一下头皮，等头发掉光光就后悔莫及啦。

我想我是累着了吧，做着按摩就睡着了。这两天一直睡。。根本没想到两天后就要去上班啦，显！

Why are the kids selling souvenirs & beg for money?
I read the article of Cambodia and knew that those kids can earn up to USD100 by selling the stuff to tourists which the parents only can earn USD30 from a full time work. Therefore the kids attend the school in order to learn English in the morning then work for the parents in the afternoon. Then, it’s up to you whether wan to give yr empathy to the kids.

How to tour ard Angkor?
Basically, Siem Reap is a tourist friendly town, tuk tuk driver will taken care of your route to Angkor Wat, what u need to do is bargain for the price. Standard should be USD12-15 per day. Personally feel that 12-15 is pretty high for the price. Food stalls inside Angkor are much more expensive than town, we usually brought light snacks for our lunch.

How to spend yr time in Angkor?
Other than the time spent inside the Angkor, you would find lots of free time afterwards. You may get yrself a reading book, sat yrself into any café for a casual evening. I see lots of western tourist do so, some with notebook. Are they here for long vacation? -_-

The food ~
Restaurant listed in the guidebook is always full of tourist, may the food is tasteful or the atmosphere is cozy. But the local restaurant without any recommendation should be worth for a try too. We had our pizza in a local small pizza restaurant and it turn out to be a good choice! The aroma of fried noodle by the motor stalls along the road was so tempting that we finally taste it!

The tourmate ~
There were 3 of us for this trip. The tuk tuk can be shared at most 4 people. Having tourmates in Cambodia is much cheaper in terms of sharing the transportation and guesthouse. Meals can have more varieties and shared as USD5 per person. Sharing of stories while climbing up & down in the shrine/temple is much more enjoying.

The great Angkor Wat ~
To learn the majestic building arts and the beauty of bas-relief then left with a pleasant experience. That’s my 8D6N adventures to Cambodia with jx and ekit. Hurry!!!

Cambodia – Siem Reap – Last 2 days

Sunrise & Banteay Srei (5am – 10.30am)

Sat into the tuk tuk to Angkor Wat before dawn to catch the sun rise. Should be happy to have a Pierce-Brosnan Tuk Tuk driver? The speed of our tuk tuk thrills through the chilly mist, the wind like piercing through the skin. That’s cold! Again, the cloudy sky didn’t give the crowds for the best shot of sun rise.

We left the crowds and head to Banteay Srei (女皇宫), a long journey from Angkor Wat which took more than 35 mins? We fall asleep on the tuk tuk!! That’s dangerous ~

Banteay Srei is one of the protected sites famous with her finest carving on the pinkish sandstone. The people believed that they were carved by skillful female (this is what I overhead from the tour guide). Impressive fine carve, even a corner, even the eyes and nose. The whole temple is unique for the different theme of carve, the best carve other than the Angkor Wat galleries.

Way back to the town, we took the last glance at the Angkor Wat, human being is really tiny in front of this majestic wat and unbelievable human skills in the ancient century.

Tonle Sap Lake, Floating Village (2pm – 4.30pm)

After a short nap, we take the tuk tuk with USD2 per pax and the boat ride ticket of USD10 to floating village. The villages mostly are Vietnamese, Cambodian & Muslim. School, shop, church, hospital, police station almost everything floats! Poor mum taking kids begging for some donation can be seen as usual over there. An hour of boat ride didn’t impress me much and personally feel that this is the most unworthy expenses.

We spent our last day strolling around Siem Reap town. Happened to know the Siem Reap National Museum having the opening ceremony, but not open to public yet. The building was design based on Angkor Wat’s tower theme? as I can see the corn-shape tower. With an administration fee of USD12 for tourist, would u give it a try?

Bought some souvenirs along central market and old market, having a rest after a long walked, we took an hour of body massage for USD5. Cambodia traditional massage is not much different with Thai massage.

We had our last dinner at our favorite restaurant, Soup Dragon at Pub Street. We shared our views and moments in Cambodia with a tasteful and content Vietnamese Hot Pot meal.

Cambodia – Siem Reap – Big Circuit

Big Circuit (8am – 5.30pm)

Start with Srah Srang (皇家浴池), the royal bathing pool facing the east, a real big pool. Opposite of it is the Banteay Kdei with lots of Apsaras bas-reliefs on the columns. Then we came to the highlight of the day, the Ta Prohm, which we can see lots of giant roots clinging on top of the walls. You may say the roots had spoilt the structure of the temple however, the roots might actually performing as a support to the temple from collapsed.

Follow by the Pre Rup (火化场) is a place for cremation, which we can see the burning stains inside the towers. It was built using pink bricks and looks different from other temples. On top of the Pre Rup can see a wide land of paddy fields. East Mebon is another similar cremation place as Pre Rup.
We need to walk a long path to see Neak Pean (龙蟠水池), 4 square pools at each side with a round statue in the middle. With the guide book on hand, we found the 4 spouts with the head of elephant, human, horse and lion.

Preah Khan (圣剑寺) with two statues holding a sword each at the entrance. Most of the passageway and corridors are badly collapsed.

We get ourselves on top of Bakeng at 4.30pm expecting to see another sunset but it didn’t turn out to be a beautiful show. Since when sunset and sunrise become another highlight and must see list in Angkor?

We went straight to Dead Fish tower for dinner, a set meal with USD5, and a short performance of Apsara dancing. Silence was among 3 of us during the dinner, perhaps we were too hungry and tired by the whole day walks.

Cambodia – Siem Reap – Small Circuit

Tourists as us need not to worry about how to visit the whole Angkor. Every tuk tuk driver will introduced the route with us using a map. It is mainly divided into 3 routes: the small circle (Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom), the big circle (Banteay Kdei, Sras Srang, Preah Khan..etc) and the most far route to Bantaey Srei.

Transportation will be taken care by the tuk tuk driver, some tourists will hired a tour guide for explanation, heard that it is USD25 per day. Ho, along the visits, lots of Cambodian guides speak in different languages!! The most heard language is French. Impressive!! For the backpackers like us, the guide is the travel books!!!

Small Circuit (8am – 3pm)

Angkor Wat (吴哥寺)
The sunlight was so dazzling that we hardly can lift our eyes up to see a clearer picture of the tower. The most significant of this wat is the 5 corn-shape towers (but me & jx felt that the tower look like a few layers of lotus) and the bas-reliefs （浅浮雕） galleries which surrounded the whole Angkor Wat as the most outside enclosing walls. The bas-reliefs tell the stories of ancient battle, the Vishnu god..etc. We took the guide book for self-story-telling. So funny that a Chinese couple approach us and asked us few question on the bas-reliefs and would like to join us touring around. Another Vietnamese Chinese passed by and gave us an “impressive” compliment. Well, all these have to be thanks to jx that done the reading while doing explanation to us. Keke.

Angkor Thom (Bayon 巴戎寺, Terrace of the Elephant, Victory Gate.. etc)
Bayon is famous with the 54 towers, total 216 nos of faces. Unlike Angkor Wat, the layout of Bayon is not in order. Really impressed by the skills at that time.. how can the faces be repeatedly look alike? It was noon and the sun was extremely hot, we are tired after walking along the terrace of Elephant with bas-relief of elephants and others sites.

It was 3pm when we back to town. Without hesitation, we went into the Blue Pumpkins for a drink. Another tourist hot spot with free wireless internet, cozy sofa and drinks. We have plenty of rest time before our dinner at Khmer Kitchen for the Amok dish. Our dinner always end as early as 7pm, and we start to have our 2nd round of beer session which others still searching for dinner! Can’t believe that both juices and beer are selling at same price! That’s indeed good news for jx & ekit!!!

As usual, both my tourmates could sleep soundlessly easily, is it becos of the beer? I have to wait for the hair to dry b4 I could sleep.. lucky there’s plenty of tv channels entertaining me.

Cambodia – Way to Siem Reap

Previously, I mentioned that Angkor Wat was announced officially as one of the 7 wonders, but it was incorrect ~ -_-. Angkor Wat was not in the list that announced on 7th July 2007. Instead, Angkor was one of the World Heritage Site under UNESCO. Anywhere, who cares abt what nomination? As long as I had step onto the land of the world wonders!!

Along the narrow road to Siem Reap, could see the simple built house along the main road scattered around with an endless view of paddy fields or just a swampy land? Apart from the tourism as financial income from Angkor Wat, agriculture and handicraft should be their next income?

Siem Reap is a small town, the central was full of tour agency, guesthouses, souvenior stalls and western style bar & restaurants. This is a city developed for tourism. Restaurants and bars are decorated in order to suit western tourist?

Red Lodge & Golden Temple guesthouse was FULL, such a hot pick guesthouse, then I realized that whatever restaurant or guesthouse being introduced in lonely planet, they will have good business. In the end, we settled our accommodation in Be Quest guesthouse (USD13 for a double bed room) which near old market (pub street). We hired the tuk tuk with USD50 for 4 days traveling.

We need to purchase an Entry pass in order to get into Angkor site. 3 Days pass with USD40. Only can bought at 5pm and it’s FOC for the first day, 3 days start from next day. Got the pass, set into the tuk tuk, we are on the way to ANGKOR WAT!! After a few mins of forest road, we saw the quiet pond.. then we saw the significant towers.. and finally the long passageway! Such an amazing complicated feels.. The first sunset on top of Bakeng (the best sunset location) did not give us a nice one, but I start to feel the crowds! And there we start to Climb..climb and climb. The sunset did not impress me but some kind of excitement was filling up me!

Cambodia – Phnom Penh

B4 check in at Changi Airport, saw a group of ppl that I believed to be volunteers or some organization, moving lots of big packages writing stationery, clothes..etc. A clear picture and realization that the place I’m going is a country that needs help, for the donation and needs for the children. The poverty of country haven’t come to my mind till I saw it with my own eyes.

The capital – Phnom Penh

Most tourists will miss this capital and go to Siem Reap directly but we chose Phnom Penh as our first stop. Airport pick up is USD7 as per standard, fetched by the guesthouse owner, head to our first night at Top Banana Guesthouse. Along the way saw lots of big hotel written in Chinese words, probably for the Taiwan & China tourist. Top Banana is unique with his cool decorated lounge and paintings on the walls.

The next day, we spent the whole day travel ard Phnom Penh, by walking and tuk tuk. With the guide map prepared by jx on hand, we highlighted a few must see location and here we start our exploration in Phnom Penh.

As Top Banana is at the south side, we planned our route north-wards. The first worth taking picture that welcomes us is the Independence Monument. We thought it was in concrete color when we saw it the earlier night, but it was in red color. Surrounding was decorated with flowers and only few days later we found that their Independence Day was ard the corner and there will have a formal celebration ceremony there.

Royal Palace is really a big site containing fabulous palace and graceful pagodas, admission fee is 25,000 Reils (abt USD6.3). The Throne Hall used for the royal coronation ceremony is gorgeous! The Silver Pagoda is named because of its 5329 nos of silver floor tiles. We didn’t notice the silver plate at the beginning as the floor was covered by carpet!! The moment we left the exit gate, the kids can’t wait to step forward selling tour guidebook and drinks. I can only the big contrast between the Royal life of government and the poverty life of residences, especially the kids.

Though National Museum is just beside the Royal Palace, but we didn’t give it a chance to enter this dark-red sandstone building. Walked towards Wat Ounalom, another important site in Phnom Penh, from there we walk towards the riverside, the Tonle Sap River, before heading back to Top Banana to check out.

We hired a tuk tuk for a few locations with USD6. Went to Russian Market for shopping, didn’t buy much stuff, it was stuffy and crowded. Didn’t stay for too long, the tuk tuk driver bring us to have lunch at the Buddhi Tree guesthouse, just opposite Toul Sleng Genocide Musuem. We rest at the restaurant under the lush garden like shade, wait for the museum to re-open at 2pm. With admission fee of USD2, we see the former high school turned out to be a prison under the Khmer Rounge where detention, interrogation and torture took place. One may not feel comfortable seeing the tortured pictures, room with iron bed, building with wires around and the bricks-made tiny prison cells. A place that you walked out with a sense of heavy mood and grateful to what you have now.

We check into another guesthouse which is nearer to the quay side and central market. We learnt a lesson after we check in at Angkor Chay. The room was old and not clean, moreover no hot water, with insects at a corner. We went out to source for another guesthouse and decided to return the room, it was less than 15 mins but the staff said they can’t return the fees to us. In the end we need to pay half of the fees and leave that guesthouse immediately. Lesson to learn is always take a look at the room before any payment.

Continue to walk to Wat Phnom (with USD1 fee), I saw kids without any clothes playing at road side, with dusty body and dropping snivel. The golden color Central market is another landmark with lots of local stalls selling silks products, silver products and food. After a long waited service dinner, we bought the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap express bus with USD8 and ready to set off to ANGKOR WAT the next day.

I'm back AGAIN.

Thinking 8 days back, I was unpacking my cambodia stuff and packing my taiwan stuff, lucky that the clothes for these 2 places are different. now, having all the clothes being washed and unpack, it means that my 16days of trips had come to an end.. still wondering how should I start my post entry.

they were asking how can yq be so daring to take up 2 trips non-stop. I myself can't believe it too. therefore i prepared something for myself.. i knew that a weak body like me won't be able to tahan such a long and hectic days.. there i started to take vitamins before the journey.. and today i'm still fine without any sickness.. should i praise all these to the vitamins i took? guess so~

Hi HI.. I'm back from cambodia after a fun trip with jx & ekit. Had a rest last night and i'm heading to taipei now..

though miss calls from offices or suppliers keep appearing on the phone but none did i answer. hoho..

It's still hard to believe that I still can cope well with the pace and having my best condition for the next destination.. jus check the weather in taipei and it's mostly rainy days for the coming weeks.. I hope it won't last long for a whole day. blessing for a better weather.

很快很快，明天就要出发了！搞到现在凌晨1点钟，明天还要上半天的班。

I think i will start writing in English now, it's faster.. look at the time! i wish to get in bed soon.. Well, start preparing the handover stuff since last week and gradually pass it down to other 3 colleagues.. with lots of proceduressssss.. somemore cc to the managers.. very tiring.. the reason is simple.. I'm leaving becos of the long leave, therefore i can't anyhow handover right? else will be more miserable when I'm back from leave!! If I'm leaving due to resignation.. who cares so much?!

Everone start asking whether they can call me during my leave, errbbs.. then wat for I took leave? if i can do it.. you all can do it what.. not familiar .. just follow the procedures lo.. anywhere, there's always a manager there for you to ask for ! They are managers !!

ok, talk abt my long leave.. tmr going to cambodia with jx & ekit... well well.. u all may ask.. "huh? cambodia? so many ppl going recently" .. yalor.. since alr so many ppl, why should i be missed out? I think Angkor Wat had been swarm into by the crowds since she was officially announced as one of the 7 wonders.. since there's tourmate.. let's go!

I used another week of my leave flying to taiwan.. part of the reason is bcos of littledust. she had shared with me abt her itinerary.. that made me feel like going too.. after a few nites of consideration, i finally press the confirmed button for the Jetstar tickets.

Sorry to jx.. due to my highly tighted work schedule, i didn't really study and research much on the coming trip. therefore.. xiao jie! kao ni le!! qing yuan liang wo ba~~ I spent all the lunch time and most nite time on the net reading the forum for Taiwan trip.. gosh.. too much info, whatever u search.. there's always plenty of website for u to click! really tooooo much.. the more u read, the more u confused and the more undecisive you are.. the link in the favourite list is getting longer and longer.. sometime later, u tend to forgot what u had read or where u had read certain info ~ one word 昏！

had over-stressed myself over the past few weeks.. i even bought vitamins in order to build up my body immunity and stamina!! have been sleeping late and without taking any nap during lunch.. really a tiring long work day for me.

k.. i'm going to sleep now.. look at the bag. i think i only pack 70% of it.. leave it to tmr la.. another meeting at 930am.. arh.. i have gek my chakra now .. gd nite everynite, see you all soon!

最近搞到有点小忙，你可以说我贪心也好，疯狂也罢，我想我确是如此。

工作永远没有完，新的一直进来，压力很大，很有可能Clear不了了。另一边一直在看接下来远行的资料。电脑画面不断切换，脑细胞还跟不上我不断open new tab的速度，开始恍惚。

周日迷迷糊糊的昏睡了22个小时，非常了不起是吧？的的确确是个称职的猪，吃饱就睡。

还有7天。除了脑海里要把工作交代一下外，就仅能用剩余的时间来准备其他。我没有去结婚啦，就很疯狂的订了两个目的地的飞机票咯。。。。。。

就是。。疯掉咯。

之前有个想法要拿个长假, 思考了很久. 担心理由不充足, 公司不批等, 一直没有把日子订下来. 但心里有个谱, 就在11月吧. 后来, JX给了个建议, 其实没考虑很多, 爽快的答应下来. 就这样, 把06/11/07填在FROM的空格里, 不过一直犹豫到底应该用17/11/07 或 24/11/07来结束. 思考下, 必须认清请假的真正目的, 太短的话, 改变也许不多, 死就死吧!! 管它有薪还是无薪假期, 干脆3个礼拜, 改变应该会很多吧!!

填了申请, 给谁批好呢? 拿给R (同部门的经理, 但又不是给我工作的人), 当然不敢签. 拿给JA (不同部门的经理, 但却给我最多工作的人), 一张惊讶的表情 (难道我不能on leave 吗?), 开口来一句费的“嘩, 用3个礼拜来interview?” 然后“你问过老板没有?”. 我很纳闷, 这就是问题, 到底是under哪个经理啊?? 难道是跳过经理, 直属老板?!?! 你们都搞不清楚, 现在就让你们搞清楚点!! 结果还不是要先问老板!

就如所料, 老板不知道A,B,C 经理个别交代我做什么工, 却claim that她自己就只给我一小部分的工. 你们要吵就去吵. 至少我的目的有点见效. 基本上, leave是approved了, 但却要submit一个work list. 既然你们选择遗忘, 选择忽略, 那就靠我来提醒你们. Work list 交上去了, 就等着看你们怎么去distribute了. 眼看成功了一半, 真希望把工作都丢出去, 我可扛不了这么多.

并不是高估自己, 也不削那所谓的important key person. 再这样谁人都可以把大小啦杂工作丢给我, 那将是一个无底洞, 我要改变现状, 让自己好过点, 让其他同事分担多点...

其实拿个假没什么大不了, 其他中国, 菲律宾同事一拿就是一个半月的, 我有和不可? 难道我就不能用回国来当理由吗?

四湾龙虾行

8月中的龙虾行因为雨天加上某些因素, 结果绕回来了..

这次是黄爸请客, 星期六请了假, 来趟family outing ~

从Ulu Tiram到Desaru, 大概80多公里. 从desaru到Sg Rengit(四湾)还要20多公里. 大约1个半至2小时, 罗里卡车多外加单行车道, 驱车要多加小心.

往Desaru和四湾的路上, 都是一大片绿油油的油棕园

Bought this drama series in 2001 and really love the characters in the shows. Kuryu san (Takuya Kimura) is a prosecutor in Tokyo but never have proper suit & tie, usually shirts & jeans with the trademark orange coat, makes an interesting contrast to his dull-but-funny fellow colleagues. Kuryu san has the witty mind and an unexpected approach in getting all the truth and the colleagues found themselves infected by his unconventational work style and turn to be as passionate as him!

Recently, I watched the 2-hr special edition that produced last year. Kuryu san was transferred to a town and happens to investigate a murder case. I’m surprised the see the killer was also casting in this coming movie! Eem.. this would prove that this 2-hr special is the preview of the coming movie! This time, Kuryu san is transferred back to Tokyo!

昨天真的有去麻布茶房吃哦. 目的是欢迎T小姐出走回来. 本来就只有4人聚的小晚餐, T小姐竟然还在公司无法脱身, 结果要出现的都不能出现!! 可是这3人就是不可以安安份份的3人行. 有点hiao, 在地铁站小聚马尔代夫归来的艾尔文, 在suntec顺路pass东西的阿zap.. 招兵买马着, 就这样, we need a table for 8 !!! 人忽然很多酱. 就是hiao… 就是要众乐乐.

最近空气中一直弥漫着幸福的色彩. 10月5日, the lady in purple出阁啦~ 一桌子就我们4个是hall mates, 缺了远在US的Pam, 其他WSC的朋友听了也觉得不可思意吧! 欣欣, 妳很漂亮哦. 老公整场一直给妳提裙尾哦, 很体贴哪! 要幸福.

求婚的求婚, 买房子的买房子, 看房子的看房子. 竟然, 大家的话题开始成熟起来了. 不得不承认, 从10几年前一起走的步伐, 渐渐要迈入另一个里程碑了. 过去10年, 应该是人生中变化就大, 也最丰富的10年吧. 每个人都一样, 学业的结束, 工作的开始, 家庭的计划. 还有3年, 不能想象自己将要开始30以上的年龄层啊!

H has been back for 3 weeks n I have been wondering wat is his actual work scope. Get quite fed up when I see him cycling ard n bossy ard, acting like a senior to other colleagues. Maybe u has the capability to be a senior, then show it in yr work!

Returned after a yr of master cert yet no specific job scope.. everyday sit there as if very busy in coordinating which components are ready for delivery… following the managers meeting with supervisors. If you are holding the same title as me, I’m really unhappy that you are not sharing my works at all! We crown u as the godson of manager n u really enjoying such treatment/pampering?

I really got an urge to ask my boss wat’s this H’s work scope!! But J advice me better don’t ask this kind of sensitive question to management. “the management should have a reason to employ a staff, n u can’t question like that” okay.. fine

Everyone of u knows how to pass the task to me but whenever I say I can’t cope with the load yet no superior can solve this problem for me! Managers should be the one dedicate the task to the suitable staff rite? Y keep shooting to me while others enjoying much of their time?

Had an idea to save myself out from this mess. Think of applying a one month unpaid leave… to make you all seriously look at my work list and how /who shall I handover /passdown. They r not junior anymore, pls don’t use such silly excuse of “they are not experience……….” .. time for other colleagues to handle their stuff independently too.. I can only exempt/free/share the work loads when I'm not ard.. one mth is jus nice for whoever to familiar with and handle the work

Is this a good attempt to be better for everyone? I need to be brave enough to voice out and hand my application form…

新加坡版本已经被删减成148分钟. 看了预映的媒体说, 被减了的部分, 无法与之后的情节相呼应, 整体无法连贯. 非常可惜.

少了这些具话题性又无可或缺的画面, 你会选择去看新加坡版本吗? 除非, 你不是好色之徒? 不过, 记者也说的对, 演员们要突破多少自身的心理压力, 导演要如何把三场性爱拍成艺术, 我们都无法看到了, 那岂不是辜负, 白费了他们的努力?

继上一个post只有数小时, 都还没坐稳hot seat呢, 又赶紧追加一个. 自己难过事小, 毕竟我不想折磨自己太久. 但个性始然, 尽点绵力让别人开心能让我感觉更踏实一点.

当时短短的10天旅行, 拍了很多照片, 还是film相机. 一直把这些珍贵的相片好好收藏在一大本相簿里, 有空就拿出来回味一番. 虽然现在都是数码相片, 也就不过是拍了看了就存档在电脑里, 少了一份亲切感.

这一次, 抽了几张合照, scan了一下, 没有很sharp的quality, 可是就像当年我们所说的, 照片, 是为了留住当时的阳光, 当时的欢笑. 希望这一组花了点心思美化的照片, 能让你开心起来．

那年attachment之后, 乘假期只身飞到澳洲去投靠留学海外的你们. 里应外合, 住宿, day trip很快就搞定. 我的行李, 带了两位小姐的爱心妈妈包裹, 穿着cher出手相借的寒衣, 勇敢地飞往墨尔本.

住她们租的屋子, 去她们逛的supermarket, 是一种体验对方生活的平实感. 每天都会遇到人, 不是很熟的或认识又很久不见的, 从我一下飞机就开始给我惊喜. 行程很紧密, 精彩, 用短短的几天, 和很多朋友聚会, 尤其是悉尼的蓝山之旅, 简直是另一场同学会. 住过住家, 住过赌场大酒店(托Ah pek的福, 免费的), 也住过YHA (Youth Hostel Accommodation), 更踏足每个赌场（也是托Ah pek的福) .. 刺激!!!

美好的回忆, 文字并不能完全表达.
就用照片来细嚼慢咽当时的阳光与欢笑吧!!!
非常怀念... 当年的旅程
感激... 一路上有你们呀!!!!!

看着看着, 真是受不了!! 当时都已经是大学生的我们, 为什么看起来还那么的幼齿??!

For those who are nihon-craze and nihon gourmet fans, definately The Central @ Clarke Quay will be your favorite choice. Plenty of japanese restaurants are available and ready to serve your taste bud.

Ever watched the Japanese series 蒋太的寿司 and really impressed by the high quality and authentically attitudes on their gourmet. They served the food with the freshiest, marinated with the finest and decorated with elegance. Never fail to stimulate your taste bud once the plates were served right in front of you.

There are a lot of jpn restaurant at level 2 & 3, and there are all being long-queued, the waiting time is at least 45 mins before you can secure a seat. Don’t wish to waste the time on Q-ing, we decided to have the dinner at the Hokkaido Gourmet Experience at ground floor purely becos there’s no Q. Surprisingly, though no Q, it’s full house with lots of reservation tables. We were lead to an empty table but the lady informed us that we only have 1 hr 15mins meal time before the person who reserved the table come. Erb… first time being clocked-the-time during dinner loh.

I was flipping through the menu for more than 10mins as I can’t decide wat to eat. The food was so pricey!! Oh man.. left ard 1hr.. so gan jiong……. Not that too bad, they served the food within 10mins, maybe they have a spacious kitchen with a dozen of chefs?

Itatakimasu ~

We had the tempura soba (cold), unagi don and california sushi roll. Above are normal jpn food with small portion yet the price is comparably high and made me hesitated to further order the sashimi. At first I was considering to get this soya & cheese cake that will be served in a bird-cage (looks like in the photo lei), very unique rite? But I drop the idea cos I’m getting another dessert later somewhere else. Next time I would rather Q longer time for other jpn restaurant.. like Ma Maison (another one at Bugis) or Curry Don.

Hoohoo.. see the long Q at Azabu Sabo (麻布茶房）Hokkaido Ice-cream !!! don’t worry, this Q won’t used up 45 mins.. kekee.. double scope with cone at $5.80, got my flavour of Greentea & Tiramisu. It taste like Gelato, rich milky and strong flavour, smooth but less dense as gelato, feel more like ice-cream paste (糊) and melts fast, that’s the reason to explain why the ice cream can be shape easily like up-side-down cone.

I found that Azabu Sabo (麻布茶房) had opened their outlet in Marina Square last year but didn’t got a chance to try out yet!! Anyone interested? Ikimashio ne ~~~

住在高高的十一楼, 每天打开门的那一瞬间, 一股清晨的沁凉迎上双颊, 暖暖的. 门前是无敌"组屋兼高级公寓"美景, 楼下热闹的汽车巴士引擎声.. 是的, 又是新的一天, 该上班了.

日落而息

不是每一天都可以看到如此风彩多姿的晚霞. 有时是神秘的紫蓝.. 有时是迷人的粉红.. 有时是灿烂的橙黄. 每一晚都在这里送走日落, 能够看到他美丽的道别, 也许就是给我这个long working hours的小黄.. 一个温暖的安慰吧!

有意思, 这小邓跟我一样, 是个劳动节宝宝. 刚来上班时, 白白净净的, 像个小姑娘. 长的斯斯文文, 但就是烟不离手. 在公司里都叫我 "姐", 这小弟真是有够亲的. 跟姐一样, 不屈于恶势力, 游走于厌人的唠叨边.. 一样精!! 说话够爽快, 老板都喜欢一起绕鸟话, 啼笑皆非. 媳妇好漂亮, 席开两桌, 老板们都赏脸恭贺. 回国好好大摆宴席吧!! 祝你俩永结同心, 幸福美满呀!!

一人一半 - Movie 881

电影刚上映不久就去看了，会去看，是因为要陪他的父母去

881 ~~ Yo ah Yo ~~ 就是Papaya, 木瓜姐妹, 两个女生因歌台而结缘, 一个身体有病, 一个不被母亲所原谅, 却因为喜欢唱歌而一直在为梦想努力着.

这是一部有笑也有泪的感人故事, 背景很新加坡, 但故事却是国际化的. 大部分是福建歌, 但乐曲是不分国籍的. 有很老土的服装和台词, 也有很夸张的Carnival Costume和Visual Effect. 看歌台, 好像看嘉年华!!

当"一人一半"唱出时, 是片中最赚人热泪的一幕. 看到前排的Auntie在偷偷用纸巾拭泪, 其实自己也好不到哪里去.

记得以前, tissue 扳开两张.. 一人一半, 感情不散~

Cher is back from NZ

When Cher told me she is coming back last month, I had noted down the dates into my calendar. Hm.. day by day passes.. and I supposed she had arrived home by the date. Didn’t make any appointment with her before hand and therefore really no idea when & where we shall meet up. I then made my weekend back to JB to standby her call. Unfortunately, she called before I reached home and I called after she falls asleep. So how? The next day after lunch, called her again but she is busy with her hair salon. By the time we really had our first chat through the phone, it was 10pm at night.. Haa.. trying to ask me out for some tea.. but really can’t dear da jie, I gotta drive back to Sg ya !

ANYWHERE.. after so many dee dee daa daa.. we finally arranged the outing on Tuesday night lah !!! ** phew

Rollingegg chosen the meeting place at Brewerkz, Clarke Quay mainly bccos of their homemade brew of beer. I sent out lots of invitation, the usual gang will always reply me the fastest, other special guests either no reply or can’t make it.

In the end, 8 of us arrived and start ordering the food.. no choice .. the most important guest was late !! Poor thing of her still at home at 6pm, waiting for someone to drive her to Sg!! but that someone was eventually can’t afford to fulfill his kind-ship he offered in the first place.. blek..

The outing was fun still, for those who can't make it, definitely it will be merrier with you around!! The food was so so only, but think u guys enjoy with the beers? Or food?

Shepherd’s Pie, according to source, it should be minced beef covered with mashed potato. But this restaurant is serving the Shepherd’s Pie with chunk chicken or pork (see I can’t remember!!), and taste like (罐头)五香肉丁. Never to mention the mashed potato on top.. you can see it looks like what.. kekeke

Every outing always end with photographing one lah~ photos should post by Cher .. SHE GOT THE CAMERA ~~

Cher end up spend the night at my place after the guys keep saying “JB 酱危险...酱迟廖”. -_-

Never expect to be so heng, I got this eye infection on 6th Sept 07 as well.. gnn..

Have been suffering from fever, flu and headache since last week.. visited clinic for 3 times.. given 2 days for MC. First, I scared myself with second strike of chicken pox, then terrified myself with dengue suspect as the fever on and off. Luckily.. it was a normal flu after doc done the blood pressure for me. Unfortunately.. my eye swell like peach the next morning. Driving me crazy ~~ this time really 剧毒攻心 liao..

With most of the time that staying in the air-conditioned office or transportation, virus are spreading through airborne. They are so insignificant in existence yet so infectious. And .. we are so vulnerable.. Please take good care everyone.

4 yrs of sacrifice or hardwork?

I started off with the current company after my graduation from NTU. It is still remained questionable and un-answerable to myself why I was still coping with this company. The construction market was unbearably bad and I actually went through 8 interviews before I clinched this first job.

AL was the first lady interviewer I met and the interviewing process was short and clear cut. Frankly, I couldn’t stand the working environment after my first report day. The work is tough, the environment is dusty and hazard and the weather is HOT. I remember I had a very hard time during my 3-mth stayed in Tampines Plant till that day this take-grudges-in-heart manager kick me off to Tuas Plant. It’s all becos I did not able to show myself in the office immediately when he paged for me. When he asked why I didn’t come, I jus told him in cold face “I’m not Fast-food-centre” (actually I was doing my inspection in the yard). I was being informed to transfer to Tuas Plant few days later with immediate effect. I still can remember vividly that I pack my bags, helmet, safety shoes and took the MRT all the way from tampines to tuas, with tears. TAMADE..

Life didn’t turn better even though I was not under that bxxxxxd manager. The office was terribly dirty! Yucksss ~ I rather went to the washroom at the canteen everyday!! I survived myself in that miserable office for a month till I transferred to another Plant at Tuas Bay.

2004, all plants were shifted to Tuas Bay that everyone works under one roof. My world became hell again when this bxxxxxd manager joined. He was trying all his means to wash me off. With a little kind of 正气&骨气, I hang on my days regardless the barking-still manager. AL had a talk with me and eventually I was transferred into drafting/planning department. OH YEAH.. Go to hell lah production department!!

I worked as QS mainly preparing tender quotation to AL. I worked with my own and I felt warmth in this all-phillipino drafting team. This was a great chance for myself to show my capability and trustworthy.

For the past few years, I see old colleagues left and new colleagues joined. Till 2006, local grad engineer only left me alone and so unlucky that I had a hospitalisation leave of 2 mths. Afraid that the only-survive engineer will run away, they try their way to increase my pay, my scope of work.. etc. Now the take-grudges-in-heart manager never ever would shout at me. Well.. I can forgive you, but I will never forget what you have done to me lo !

I will have my 4th anniversary with this company 2 mths later. Yuckss !!

We had a company dinner last Saturday and there’s a long-service-award..

And I got my watch. (Presented by Big boss’s wife)

Argh.. wat a long & bored story.

水痘会出两次吗?

好像是从两个月前, 水痘在公司里开始传
工人一个传一个, 宿舍还特别开了个 “隔离” 房间
直到上个星期, 一个孟加拉工人忽然就这样离开了
隔天来到公司, 听在这个消息时, 震惊.
他只有25岁, 申诉很不舒服到离开, 只有短短的10分钟
连ambulance 都还没到

坐我后面的stay-in Pillippino同事也中了
老板开始紧张, 叫大家吃多点蔬果, 增加抵抗力
本来没出过的人就已经很怕了..
加上工人的不幸.. 不怕都变怕啦~~

还有人说水痘会出两次!!!!!! $^@#$ !!!
真的假的??

昨晚被那小女人这么一说, 有种被kok脑袋的感觉.. (点醒了一下!)

或许/也许, 应该说我是幸运多一点.. 因为幸福的定义里.. 并不能用买 “屋子有多少津贴” 来构成.

因为他的缘故, 我至少还能享有直接向政府选购屋子的权利, 能够获得政府的贷款, 津贴等等等....

近两年, 条例放宽, 申请成为永久居民容易很多. 下来, 为了让更多永久居民转为公民, 差距很大很大的津贴, 回扣, 一直用数据明明确确的摆出来.

都是永久居民的我们, 多少已经在这里安定下来, 又有多少为了获得津贴而转成公民了? 如果有得选择.. 家, 不管在哪个地方.. 都是最温暖的窝.

公民权的考量, 越来越利益化.

需要多少筹码啊?

HDB在八月份推出的组屋选购（Bi-monthly Balloting Exercise), 单位只有354间, 可是申请人数竟然超过10,000!! 真的有那么多人要买新单位吗??????

虽然多数单位都已经建好或完工中, 但地点的选择有限, 且单位多数在底楼, 所以放弃申请. 当我知道申请人数爆万后, 才恍然大悟.. 或大胆假设.. 许多人利用政府刚发布的申请条例来故意制造下一个抽签的机会?

新加坡政府刚宣布好消息, 对于第一次申请者, 如果在过去的抽签申请失败了4次或以上, 就会在原来的2次机会上再优待1到2次的机会... 难怪.. 聪明的人, 用这次抽签.. 增加自己手上的筹码... 我怎么没有想到?!??!

要向HDB买屋, 并不是有钱就可以买.. 反而是靠运气. (无奈)
要买建好的.. 申请人数远远超乎想象
要买BTO (build to order)的.. 起码要等4~6年才会那钥匙
要买公开市场的.. 喊价比估价高的离谱.. (有病!!!)
再多的钱, 我也不想白给!!

ERP (Electronic Road Pricing)又要增加几个了, 而且收费是从6pm~10pm. 为了提醒大家拥车的消费, 为了控制车流量, 为了减低购车的欲望, 就从现有的车主下手, 是这样的REASON吗?

和他谈论起这些课题.. 最后变成了争论.

我说为什么我辛苦赚来的钱, 大部分要花在房子上? 用几十年的时间去供那小小的组屋, 值得吗? 钱要花很多勒.. 还有其他一堆收费…
他说这里很安全, 治安好, 费用就是用来建设更好的国家.. 你不觉得你那里很危险吗?

我听到的.. 是这里的国民教育.. 这么爱国哦!!

The Pinnacle @ Duxton Plain - HDB’s first 50-storey integrated housing development comprising special features such as skybridges and sky gardens at the 26th and 50th storeys. Pinnacle is located centrally along Cantonment Road [Tanjong Pagar] and in close proximity to the Central Business District.

I went there for a meeting and got chance to take a site tour. All 7 blocks are at their 26th floor, in the progress of doing construction joints for the connection of skybridges. The skybridges are steel prefabricated and only be installed till the completion of 50 storeys. The site engineer took me to 25th floor and have the exclusive view from the units. though... the unit floor area is extremely small!!! I think it's only the space in my Jb home's living+dining room+ 1 room space.. Maybe that's the trend in Sg, Pay to get the Style of Life.

Anywhere, no chance to stay in Duxton, at least a chance to take photo from the unit using the city as my background.. ^_^V ... neh neh neh ~~

A spectacular holiday

Singapore public holiday as she is celebrating her 42th birthday

12.00 noon - We had our brunch at The legent @ fort canning. Visited the historic site and monuments by British

2.30 pm - Walk across to the open house of National Musuem of Singapore. Crowded.. didn't go into the individual exhibition hall but happen to see the "A banquet in Stone".. displaying the sumptuous feast of delicacies that actually made up by rare stones! Impressive

6.30pm - The giant S'pore flag heading to the Marina Bay, Chinook took their journey through my door step !!! Cool ~~

8.10pm - We were at Suntec City Tower waiting for fireworks !! that's my brother's office and I think I will never have chance to work in such building overseeing the such a breathtaking scene just in front of my work desk ~~

He Is The One

For the past 6 yrs we never think of celebrating the anniversary
But this year.. I brought him to The Legend @ Fort Canning to have brunch
Main reason is I have long wanted to go there
The buffet has lots of variety and I can only try a small portion for every dish I could
No choice.. small tummy to fill the food.. not worth for a buffet price. **Emm**
The food is nice with western, oriental, sushi, Indian roti prata and chocolate fondue, French pastries as desserts

意外发现

从别人的blog link 到另一个 link.. 结果发现那些电视主播的blog, 比如黄志豪, 吕诗琳, 董素华, 徐赟羚,久违的欧菁仙..

为什么会说意外发现? 因为我竟然在董素华的blog里看到彤韵的照片.. 发现她去了苏格兰. 其实认识彤韵也不深, 那一年她戴着宽中第一位的光环踏进了NTU的大众传播系.. 在后来几个中文学会的活动和她接触过, 交情不是很深. 但是在别人的Blog里看到久违的朋友消息.. 心里是有点莫名的感触地..

平时有看933DJ丁志勇的blog, 真的是红到爆. Crez的笔锋很有娱乐性.. 但最近的"二姑" , 看了心很酸..

I felt so sad early in the morning

Mesh supplier called me up to highlight a mistake drawn in the drawing then I was jus playfully said to R , “oh.. the supplier also check our mistake..”

Oh no.. the moment he heard it , he was so piss off of the word “mistake” and scolded me
“hey, Yitchie, the way you u said I can’t accept, it’s like shooting to me”

OMG.. immediately I said sorry & sorry.. but R continue to grumble
“If I let you draw, can you draw?” --- "No"
“Last time you draw Screen Wall, did you check?” --- "No"
“so wat if it’s a mistake? We can settle it! I think I better let you check the drawing”

I understand how he feels.. under pressure from the boss and maincon.. I’m really sorry for using the word “mistake” and I shouldn’t express in that way. But what I’m upset was, he brought up the screen wall drawing.. oh man.. that was when I start learning autocard, I was told to help another colleague to make the layout nicer in the end kena sabotage to be the drafter. What else can I say? He remembered that and used that to counter shoot me? Oh come on.. speechless.. Is he using this chance to say it loud to his other drafting fellows? To let everyone understand.. Whoever draw, must check his own work !! I’m not in drafting department but then end up like this..

I apologized for what I said but your words hurt me too. My heart was so chilling when he raised the voice.

The wedding held at 五福北京城.. my 2nd wedding dinner over there within 6 mths. I like the stage background, simple and nice. The Yum-Cheng session.. let’s congrate the newly wed !! paisey.. photo very small.. I’m taking this photo from the last row of table where we sat..

The first wedding dinner that stay till the last, for a Group photo for 3 tables of us, must be a very memorable photo.. wonder will I have one as well on my day?

Sometimes I may just grumble too much on the works and never heed advice from others. Once a while getting advice from others may just gave me another point of view. When we are jus too focus on our mind, the thinking is always narrow and limited, a wiser or an outsider may give a broader advice.

Appreciate an uncle cum colleague, what he told me was..
“My dear, if you wan to change, change bcos of a better offer & opportunity, don’t change bcos you are tired or fed up with the work”
“when everyone relies on you, it shows your importancy”

Appreciate james who told me that..
“If your GM put many tasks to let you do, it is because they know you can do the job”

Ha.. at least I feel happier when I heard the above. It twists my upset mood into a regardful mood.

However, whenever I think of my hourly rate, the calculation is like
Mine = fix salary / 26 days / 11 hrs daily
Common = fix salary / 22 days / 9 hrs daily

Let’s say fix salary = $3000. Then I will be getting $10.5/hr while others are getting $15/hr. That’s KNS !!!!!!! Though same salary but I’m considered as cheap labour rite? Errrbbb…. Kns x n

Well, well well.. .(sound like Dumbledore?? Oooohh man.. I haven’t catch the movie yet) what I wan to express is.. changing a new company is still an on-going searching for me.. hope the opportunity will come eventually..

An one-mth joined NTU lady engineer last day yesterday and I was told that her new job is in oil-related big company. Maybe nowadays the freshies are aiming high and expect big, therefore small firm like us not easy to employ local graduate. There.. I discuss abt this with him..
